The Ntui lab builds on the existing CocoaSoils initiative to disseminate integrated soil fertility management (ISFM). The project focuses on 30-year-old diversified demonstration plots to test the agronomic benefits and trade-offs of shade trees in coping with pests and heat stress in cocoa trees. Event 1: Intensive 5-day Training of Trainers (ToT) to train extension agents in agroecological diagnostics and the OCATI impact assessment methodology. Event 2: Validation and utilization workshop for the results of the TAPE tool (FAO) at Hotel Les Chutes in Ntui to measure the multidimensional performance of local sustainability. Event 3: Field-based Local Cross-Visit bringing together over 30 stakeholders (farmers, researchers, decision-makers) to test the first version of the digital Decision Support Tool (DST) under real-world conditions.
